ToggleBillionaire financier Tom Wagner has openly suggested the club could win their second promotion in as many years in 2025/26; which would result in the Blues returning to the Premier League for the first time in 15 years. Birmingham are certainly a club on the rise, with work on a 60,000-seater stadium and training campus under way. The club expects that project to be completed by the start of the 2026 season.

With Tom Brady part of the investor group, and an Amazon Prime documentary on the way, the club isn't short of glitz for players that want to increase their profile. Mail Sport has linked the Blues with their ex-star Demarai Gray, who left the club nine years ago, as well as Rennes striker Kyogo Fuhurashi, Benfica midfielder Leandro Barreiro, and Premier League veterans in Che Adams and Craig Dawson.
The Mail also reports the club are offering targets up to £30,000 a week; heady numbers for a newly promoted club. In briefings, potential signings are being told that instant promotion is the goal, and the club are willing to pay a premium to make that happen.
These are exciting times for the Blues fans after years of mismanagement. While they will be indebted to their record-breaking stars from last year, there could be a completely different side taking the field come the 8th August, when Birmingham's seasons starts with a home fixture against Ipswich Town.
