He is throwing his support, and considerable funding, behind the Canadian cause — despite already witnessing a 2-0 defeat to the Albiceleste in the opening game of the 2024 Copa event. He has a six-figure sum riding on Marsch’s men making the final, with the Grammy Award-winning star joking that things “could get Messi”.
‘One Dance’ rapper Drake stands to pocket $2.8 million if Canada can spring an upset against Argentina. He will be watching on when an eagerly-anticipated contest plays out in New Jersey, with the Canucks already guaranteed a spot in the third-place play-off at the very least.
