However, reports that those talks have stalled after a disagreement over the player's wages. Napoli reportedly offered €6 million (£5m) per season which is significantly less than Kvaratskhelia's demand of €8m (£6m). The player, though, could lower his demand if the club agree to keep his release clause under €100m (£83m).

The Georgia international's complicated contract situation with the Italian side has alarmed two European giants Barcelona and PSG who have a long-standing interest in the player. reported last week that the Catalan giants are reportedly preparing an offer worth €80m (£67m) as they look to further bolster their attack.
Kvaratskhelia has started the 2024-25 campaign on a high having recorded five goals and two assists in 12 league appearances. Napoli currently hold a one-point lead over Atalanta at the top of the Serie A table.
Antonio Conte's side, who have won eight out of their first 12 matches in the league, will be next seen in action against a struggling Roma side on November 24 in the Serie A.
